Dr. Ronald Katz, Board-Certified Dermatologist Emeritus

Dr. Ronald Katz is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced in the DC metropolitan area for over 40 years. He joined our Greenbelt, Maryland, office in July of 2011 after closing his solo-practice located in College Park, Maryland. Dr. Katz was named a Top Doc by his peers in Washingtonian magazine's best area physicians guide in March 2014. He has been recognized by other publications such as Washington Checkbook and Who's Who in the World as one of the best Dermatologists in the area for the past 20 years.

Dr. Katz received his M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and was inducted in Rush Medical Club and elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After graduating and completing his internship, he served as General Medical Officer for the United States Public Health Service from 1970-1972.  Dr. Katz completed his Dermatology residency at Yale University School of Medicine, where he later became an instructor in Dermatology. While operating out of his solo-practice, Dr. Katz also worked at Washington Hospital Center as Vice Chairman for the Department of Dermatology for over 10 years. He has also instructed Dermatology at National Institutes of Health (NIH), Children's National Medical Center, and George Washington University School of Medicine.

His hobbies include photography, book collecting, and running - he averages 1000 miles per year and has completed in six marathons.
